Go is the world’s oldest board game. It’s easy to learn, fun to play, yet challenging as well. The rules are the essence of simplicity, yet they result in endless possibilities. Unlike many games that are based on a “winner takes all” strategy, Go rewards patience and balance over aggression and greed.
This is a one-hour class, with an additional hour for those who want to stay longer and play more. All ages 8 and older are welcome. Go is a great game for parents and children to play together.
This program will be held in the 4th floor Forum, not in meeting room C

The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
