Sally is Sarah Productions will be here to show an ASL storytime film called Knitting for Dogs, followed by a Q&A and a craft!

Crom Saunders, one of the film's actors and artist of Sally is Sarah Productions, will make an appearance after the film for a Q&A, giving children a wonderful opportunity to connect with someone in the Deaf community. 

This will be followed by a craft organized by the Chicago Hearing Society.


All ages. Registration required beginning May 15th. Please call the Youth Services desk to register at 847-376-2839. DHH patrons may email us at YouthServicesDesk@dppl.org to register. Please include names of all children who will be attending.

The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
