Start the new school year off right with our Teen Clothing Swap, where teens in grades 7 through 12 can exchange gently used clothing and accessories for new-to-you items!
How to donate: Teens can drop off their gently worn clothes and accessories in good condition to the 3rd floor information desk between the dates of August 6th-August 12th. They may also bring items to exchange on the day of the event.
Please note that we are unable to accept shoes, socks, leggings, undergarments (including sports bras and tights), or swimwear.
The clothing swap will take place from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, August 12th outside in the library plaza.
The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
