Tuesday, May 23 at Rosemary S. Argus Friendship Park and Conservatory from 5-8 p.m.
The Tiki Terrace and My Funnel Truck will be serving up great bites, The ShapeShifters band will be live on stage, and Friendship Park Conservatory will be hosting an open house. Everyone in the community is invited to attend.
We encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets.
While dogs are welcomed at the park, they must be under a handler’s control at all times and on a leash that does not exceed 15’ in length. Dogs are not allowed in any playground area or athletic field. Read the full ordinance here.
Parking lot entrance is on Kolpin Drive off of Algonquin Road. Please note that Algonquin Road in between Elmhurst Road and Wolf Road will be within a construction work zone at this time. Motorists should obey the posted speed limits and be on alert for workers and equipment while traveling through this area. Access to the Park will remain open throughout construction.

The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
