Community fireworks will be on Sunday, July 2, at Oakton College in Des Plaines.
Bring your blankets and lawn chairs to watch the fireworks extravaganza among your neighbors to celebrate Independence Day weekend! Dance to the DJ and play yard games with family and friends before the fireworks show illuminates the sky.
Admission is free.

No alcohol is permitted on Oakton property.
It is strongly recommended that pets be left at home for this event. Dogs are allowed on campus as long as they are leashed/harnessed and are always under a handlers control. There is a maximum of two dogs per handler.
There is no parking allowed in the lanes of, grassy areas, or unpaved areas on College or Circle Drives.

The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
