Meeting Room CPreparing yourself for the flu season is more important than ever during the pandemic.
An annual flu vaccine is the first and best way to protect yourself and others against influenza.
AMITA Health will send a medical team to the library to administer the flu vaccine to library patrons, employees, volunteers, and anyone else eligible the 2nd Tuesday in October, November and December.

What you need to know.
- You may receive a flu shot if you’re 18 years or older.
- If you have Medicare Part B, the cost will be covered with the presentation of your Medicare card.
- Help is available for individuals that might not have the resources to cover the cost of the vaccine.
- A 2-week minimum is required between vaccines, therefore, if you have recently received a COVID-19 please wait 2 weeks before receiving a flu vaccine.
- A 15-minute observation period may be required after receiving the flu vaccine.
- Flu vaccinations will be available while supplies last. Space is limited.
- Preregistration is recommended. Walk-ins welcome.
