Do you ever watch cooking programs on television? Are you amazed at the skill of the chefs as they prep the food for cooking? Well here is your chance to acquire some skills of your own.
Join Chef Susan Maddox for a presentation on knife skills. The taped program will cover information about selecting knives, proper usage of knives, and actual preparation/fabrication of ingredients. Chef Susan will be live to introduce the pre-recorded program and to answer your questions following the presentation.

The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
