Rocky's Kits for Kids!

We miss seeing our young friends - and your wonderful creativity!

This summer, we're putting together activity kits that you can enjoy at home.

In this "Time to Experiment" edition, you'll find instructions and supplies to experiment with salt and ice, and do some salt-watercolor painting. Or, use the supplies to make your own creations.

Best for ages 3 and up. Kit contains small pieces; please provide supervision.

While supplies last, you may pick up your kit at the Youth Services Desk on the 2nd floor.

The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
