Design and produce a unique, personalized book for your child.

You provide the digital photos...we provide the materials to craft a homemade keepsake book to read together again and again!

For parents/caregivers of children ages 0-4.

One book per participant. This event is open to Des Plaines Library cardholders plus one guest. Registration will open to all on November 1 at 9 am if seats are available.

Registration begins October 22 at 9 am by visiting or calling the 2nd floor Youth Services Desk, 847-376-2839; registration ends November 6. When registering, participants will receive instructions for choosing and emailing photos to be used in the book.

About

The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
