Bright Star Theatre will be here to give a performance on many Sports Heroes throughout history!

Best for children in K-5th grade, but everyone is welcome! No registration required.

"This exciting, energetic production celebrates some of the greatest sports heroes of all time! Young audiences will be introduced to a ton of amazing athletes including Babe Ruth, Michael Jordan, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, Peyton Manning, Jackie Robinson and many more! This fun and engaging review of the world’s greatest sports heroes includes fun facts about each hero, important life lessons such as failures and successes, health, wellness, integrity and teamwork."

The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
