Meet with a career expert for resume help, cover letter writing, interviewing skills, job searching or LinkedIn profile review.

In-person appointments are offered the second Monday of every month from 1:00 – 4:00 pm, except for the June appointment, which will be offered on June 17.

Zoom appointments are offered the fourth Tuesday of every month from 6:30-8:30 pm.

Appointments are for 30 minutes, or an hour, depending on your need.

Contact the Reference Desk at 847-376-2841 to register. Registration begins on the 15th of the month prior to your appointment.

Please be sure to call us to cancel your appointment if you are unable to make it.

The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
