Meeting Room B/CFor families with children of all ages, best for ages 2-7. The Chicago Children’s Theatre will bring us three classic stories from the pen of Beatrix Potter - The Tale of Jeremy Fisher, The Tailor of Gloucester, and Peter Rabbit. This performance includes puppets and live actors. Doors open at 10:15am.
Registration required. All who are attending must register. Des Plaines residents can register by visiting the Youth Services Desk or calling 847-376-2839 beginning June 11. Des Plaines Library cardholders can register themselves online beginning June 11. Any remaining openings will become available to all patrons to register by phone, at the library, or online beginning June 18.

The 1501 Ellinwood Street library building is the realization of a longheld dream of the library board, staff and community partners. Located in the heart of downtown Des Plaines, the four story, 82,000 square foot building represents the community's commitment to reading, lifelong learning, and a center for family activities. A grand central staircase and large windows provide a wealth of natural light and illuminate the building at night.
