Join the library for our final celebration of National Poetry month. DJ Andrea and Rapper Tusiime, of Kidworks Touring Theatre Company, will lead participants of all ages on a time-travel tour from Old School Days in the 70's to the New School Era today. Andrea and Tusiime will bring alive beat boxing, dancing, DJing, and the true meaning of rap as a way to bring peace to a community. Loaded with audience participation, costumes and music...Entire families should come ready to jam!

Reading is a Breeze!


January 4 - March 2, 2014


2014 is off to a snowy start. So what better way to spend those cold winter days than reading for fun and prizes? Parents, sign up your kids online or at the library. See details below.

Register online here or in person at the library. If you sign up online, be sure to drop by the library to pick up your reading log and sign up prizes.




Prizes


Kids get a Raging Waves water park pass when they sign up to participate in the Winter Reading Club.


Every week they can bring their reading log to the library and get a snowflake punch on one of eight skates. Once they get their skate punched they also get a weekly drawing slip and are entered into a weekly drawing.


Once they complete 16 hours of reading or listening to books they are awarded a paperback book, a coupon from Dairy Queen for a free ice cream cone, and a grand prize entry slip.


Grand prize winners are notified by phone on Monday March 3rd.
